How it works

One scan, a list you approve, then a weekly check.

Trial and paid accounts are scanned on Mondays. On the first of the month, one note shows the latest score beside an earlier scan.

  1. Ask the questions

    Twenty to forty questions from the category and city. The default set is 24, and every assistant gets the same list.

  2. Read the names

    ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude each answer twice. A missing key skips that assistant. A skip is not scored as “not named.”

  3. Approve the list

    The first fixes wait for you. After that, later checks can run on autopilot and email a summary.

  4. Watch the month

    The monthly note compares the latest score with a scan at least 21 days older. No earlier scan means a blank “before” column.

Questions people ask first

What is AI visibility?

AI visibility is how often AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews mention your business when people ask for a recommendation. If someone asks "Who's a good dentist in Houston?", AI visibility is whether you're in the answer.

Can I pay ChatGPT or Google to recommend my business?

Not in the answer itself. ChatGPT now shows some labeled ads below its answers, but OpenAI says ads "do not influence ChatGPT's answers" and advertisers can't "shape, rank, or alter" them (OpenAI Help Center). Being named in the answer depends on what assistants can find and trust on the web: your website, your listings, your reviews, and what other sites say about you.

Do I need a special file or code to show up in AI answers?

Not for Google. Google says there are no extra technical requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode beyond being indexed in regular Google Search. For ChatGPT and Perplexity, the big technical step is making sure your site doesn't block their search crawlers (OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot).

Why does ChatGPT recommend my competitor and not me?

Usually because other sources talk about them more, or more clearly. Common reasons: they have more reviews that describe their work, their listings match across sites, they appear on local "best of" lists, or their website states plainly what they do and where. Sometimes the cause is technical, like a site that blocks AI crawlers.
